Hometown Traditions Day!

We recently had CWES' first every Hometown Traditions Day! This was a day where we going to travel to different rotations all outside the school in celebration of our favo

rite teams. Due to the EXTREMELY cold and RAINY weather, we had to improvise! We had all of the rotations, but in our room and in the gym! Here are a few pictures...

We started with a little boot camp with Coach Robert (via the smartboard)!

Next some very sweet volunteers came in to paint our faces!!!!

We got to have Toomer's lemonade and roll Toomer's Tree!!!!

Aren't they precious!!!

Last, but not least (remember it was a 1/2 day), we had a pep rally in the gym! The AHS band, AHS cheerleaders and Samford the Tiger were there! It was AWESOME!

It must have worked, Auburn WON!!!

Veteran's Day Program!

On Friday, November 8th, we had our CWES Veteran's Day Program! It was so very special and a wonderful treat to be a part of! Here is a picture adventure...

Here we are sitting so nicely before the program began!

The honored Veterans!

The screen where songs/pictures were playing.

Several 2nd graders recited poems and special dedications!

The cub scouts presented the flag.

We said the pledge of allegiance.

Each member of the different branches of military were honored and stood during their song!

Aren't they precious!?!?!?

Mrs. Snyder opened and closed the performance.

Happy Veteran's Day and thank you to the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country! :)

We are finally diving into the ocean! Last week we spent our theme time learning all about the oceans and water on our planet! We talked about the 5 different oceans and completed two ocean fact book pages...
