Applesauce and Apple Pie

To end our apple week, we made homemade applesauce and apple pies (which were really apple turnovers, but don't tell the kids that!!)! :)
They each got to peel their apple!

Tripp's peeling was the longest!

Here they are all cut up wish sugar and cinnamon!

We cooked it for 7 hours and it was too hot to taste so we had to wait until the next day!

To make our baby apple pies, it is so easy:
-can of Grands biscuits
-can of apple pie filling
-cinnamon and sugar

You roll your biscuit into a big circle, add a couple of spoons of apple pie filling, fold over and use a fork to seal and add the sugar topping.
Cook just like a can of biscuits.

They had so much fun and were DELICIOUS!

Cary Connect!

Cary Woods has the best program that we implement called Cary Connect!  This is a mentoring program where each child is assigned a teacher to visit 1/month to learn about character education!  Each group has 10-12 members so it's perfect for great activities and conversations!
Here is a picture walk of our class getting ready for Cary Connect!
Lined up and ready to go!

The animals were hanging on the wall and the children had their specific animal on a necklace.

Once we were all divided up, we had a bit of a Cary Connect pep rally before heading back to our spots to get to know each other.

With my best,
