The Color Zoo

We read the book Color Zoo by Lois Elhert. 

 It is a book about different zoo animals made by using shapes.  After we read, we used our own shapes to make our own animals!

M&M fun...

Hi parents!  I apologize for my lapse in blog postings!  Our camera was missing for several days!!!!!  But alas, it was found!  I won't bombard you with 10 posts tonight, so here is one for you!

Last week we did an M&M graph to work on sorting, colors and color words!

 We first sorted onto our Brown Bear animals!

Next, we graphed our M&M's.

The fun part was EATING them when we were finished! 

This was the quickest activity yet! :)

Officer Elliot's visit...

Today, Officer Elliot, our school resource officer, came for a visit!  The kids were SO EXCITED to meet a REAL policeman! :)

They were such good listeners!

He brought a poster that had great pictures of people using good safety!  We got to guess how each scene was safe!

We got a group photo before he left!  Do you see their badges!?!?

Guidance and iPads...

We recently had our very first guidance lesson with Mrs. Hunter!  She will visit us every other week during our specials time to work with us!  Here is a picture of the kids working on an activity with her...
