Fall Sight Words
To wrap up our 1st nine weeks sight words we made sight word trees for fall! This is a piece of "art" that you can hang up on the fridge, in your child's room, etc. and review those words each time you walk by!

Officer Shallock
Officer Shallock is one of our school resource officers at CWES. He loves to come and read to the kids so they can get to know him. We partnered with Mrs. Burns and Mrs. Sanders' classes to sit down and meet him, hear a story and ask questions!

The kids were amazing! We have a new friend in Officer Shallock!
Applesauce and Apple Pie
To end our apple week, we made homemade applesauce and apple pies (which were really apple turnovers, but don't tell the kids that!!)! :)
They each got to peel their apple!
Tripp's peeling was the longest!
Here they are all cut up wish sugar and cinnamon!
We cooked it for 7 hours and it was too hot to taste so we had to wait until the next day!
To make our baby apple pies, it is so easy:
-can of Grands biscuits
-can of apple pie filling
-cinnamon and sugar
You roll your biscuit into a big circle, add a couple of spoons of apple pie filling, fold over and use a fork to seal and add the sugar topping.
Cook just like a can of biscuits.
They had so much fun and were DELICIOUS!
