Halloween!
We had such an awesome Halloween at school! So much of a good time, I missed a lot of pictures! :)
Not sure why this picture looks like this, but I wanted to say I hope your child enjoys their Spookley the square pumpkin! You can watch the story in the video below.
On Monday, the Auburn Fire Department visited with the fire trailer. The kids visited during PE and came back with hats. I kept them until Tuesday so I could do a group photo!!!
Thanks to the Hamiter family for purchasing the fall candy mix that Mrs. Kimbrell looked everywhere for, we were able to complete a fun, edible math activity on Halloween!
We also got to decorate baby pumpkins!!! Thanks Heath, Scotch and Yost families for helping with these supplies!
The kids were SOOOOOOOOO disappointed not bringing them home on Tuesday but the glue just wasn't dry enough! :)
Last, but not least, our sweet jack-o-lantern is outside in our courtyard, beside our door, decomposing. We read a book called Pumpkin Jack and are very excited to watch the decomposition process! Check out that book below!
Pumpkins Part II
Hi parents! I noticed something last week about my lack of blogging. I know I've told you that Miss Hall is wonderful! She truly is! I noticed that in the past few weeks, I've been planning for TWO full time teachers. So there has truly been no time to blog. Both of us have been working on separate lessons x2! :) So, my apologies for the lack of pictures and updates. But when you have a great intern, you get TWO teachers every day! :)
Here is our Pumpkin Exploration Part II! Get ready for picture overload!
Here are the kiddos working on our pumpkin exploration books! Those are going to hang in our classroom for a bit and then they will come home!

Sorry those two were upside down?!?!?!
We predicted whether or not our pumpkin would sink or float.
Most kids said "definitely sink," I mean it was HUGE! :)
They were SHOCKED to see that it FLOATED! :)
After we floated, we weighed our pumpkin!
A whopping 37 pounds!
BIGGEST PUMPKIN I'VE EVER HAD IN MY CLASSROOM thanks to the Heath Family!
After we weighed, the kids voted on which face to carve!
I carved but the kids cleaned it out!
They had to count out the seeds!
After they put the seeds in groups of 10, we counted them as a class!
We had 761 seeds in our pumpkin! WOW!
Our pumpkin bread didn't work out so well, but we saved the day by having pumpkin PIE!
Despite some of those faces, EVERY single child voted that they liked it! :)
Thank to each of you who made these pumpkin activities happen! We couldn't do it without you and appreciate you so very much!
