Dog Bite Prevention

On Tuesday, we had Auburn University's Canine Performance Sciences team visit with us to teach about Dog Bite Prevention Tips!

When we meet someone new, we shake hands.  Dogs use their nose to "shake hands."

Always ask "May I pet your dog?" BEFORE you touch a strange dog.

If you get permission, you hold your fist out for the dog to sniff.  

This is Thatch, a puppy in training to become a detection dog.
