Chicka Chicka ABC...

As you know, our classroom and 24 other classrooms in Auburn, are participating in a local ABC exchange!    We took this opportunity to use our ABC exchange as our very first project...making a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tree to display our letters.

We began construction on Monday, and by Tuesday we were done!  WOW!  Super fast! :)
We cut holes in paper grocery bags and rolled them up into circle-like shapes.

This was the final outcome.

Diya, Kyla, Madison and Caitlyn working.

John

Mileigh, Ford and Lucas

Also, on Monday, Mrs. DeShazo came to volunteer in our room!  She took small groups of children out into the hallway to make our letter Z's!  We had to make 26 Z'S (we will also make 26 K's too)!
The children voted to make our Z's into Zebras!

Ford

Nivelle, Mileigh and John

Jesse, Mileigh and James

This was the final product!  Aren't they cute! :)
Thank you so much Mrs. DeShazo for coming to help us!

This is our completed tree (with three of our letters climbing to the top)!
We slid all of the brown paper bag circles onto a carpet roll.  The top is an old umbrella with green material for the leaves!

So far, we've only received two other letters (aside from our own)...
Mrs. S. Jones' class here at CWES made a Blue Bow B!

Mrs. Shelton's class here at CWES made X-ray X's!

I will post more letters as they come in! :)
