On Friday afternoon, we went to the gym for a very special assembly! The Child Nutrition Program put on a Food Play! We learned so much! Here are a few pictures (before my camera died)! :)

GO foods and NO foods!
GO foods give us energy and keep us healthy!
NO foods (processed, sugar, unhealthy) give us immediate energy and then a crash!

ACS even gave us place mats with the new food pyramid--which is actually a food plate now! I hope you received yours on Wednesday! The recommendations are to fill 1/2 of your plate with fresh fruits and veggies, 1/4 with protein, and 1/4 with grains!
