February 6th Newsletter...

A little update on Olaf...

This week is National School Counselor's Week, and for journal time today, we made Mrs. Hunter cards to show her how much we love her!  Since journal time was shorter, we got to extend centers a bit!  This extra time was well spent in creating a "play-pen" barrier for Olaf's ball!  Once Ezra and Beth Ann created it, we got her out and had so much fun watching her roll around!

We had so much fun! :)

Our Three-Toed Sloth!

OUR THREE-TOED SLOTH IS FINISHED!  She's been a work in progress, as you know!  But she is hanging in the hallway right now!
We are still working with the habitat crew to add a few more details, and our writing crew hasn't added the facts yet, but I'm so impressed!

We only tried 10 takes for a class photo! :) LOL

We are SO PROUD! :)

Go NoOdle!

I am 100% sure you've heard about GoNoOdle at home!  We do it everyday (the kids will NOT let you forget it's time) after lunch, right before we read our chapter book.  Sometimes, on rainy or extra cold days, we do it for recess.  Many of you have been asking how to get to it from home, which I love!  You can visit:
https://www.gonoodle.com/
And sign up for a free account, and your child can do it by themselves!  It's a fun way to take a "brain break" or get in some much needed movement!

Here are a few videos of us getting down! :)

Happy NoOdling! :)

Happy Groundhog's Day!

Today was Groundhog's Day!   We had fun learning what it was all about!  We read...
It was a sweet story about a groundhog that didn't want to hibernate!

We also made our own predictions on whether or not Punxsutawney Phil would see his shadow or not!
The vote was 12-7!

We also watched a video of Phil coming out, and seeing his shadow!  He was feisty this morning and even BIT his handlers!  Oh dear! :)

We finished our time by writing about it in our journal!

Six more weeks of winter...

Happy Groundhog Day!
