Part I and II of Piglet Construction...

We've been working SO HARD on our piglets!  Take a picture walk...

We first voted on whether to make a big pig or baby pig.  I was hoping for a big one, but you can't argue with 13 vs. 7!

We began by stuffing our piglets.  We used paper bags, stuffed in the paper, and then Miss Warren wrote names with a sharpie.  I was inside with the painting crew, so I only got 1 picture! :(

After stuffing, we began to paint!
Here is Andrue.

Some of them are COVERED in pink, others you can see the brown a bit.  I asked one child to cover his pig, making sure all the brown was hidden, he politely said "Mrs. Kimbrell, that is mud on the piglet." :)

Part II
Part II of piglet construction (after the paint was dry) was to apply the curly tails and eyes!

Caden is working on his tail, Jakarii is holding down his eyes for the glue to set.

Here is the K from our KWL chart.
What do we "K"now about pigs.
Our W was accidentally turned into an art project. :(  We will re-do it!  We are currently working on our "L" chart (what we "L"earned about pigs).

Stay posted for Part III (legs)
Part IV (snouts and ears)
Part V (habitat)
