Grand Person's Day Lunch

Hi Parents!  In your child's planner today, you will find a very important piece of paper that I need you to fill out and return tomorrow.  This will help Grand Person's Day Lunch (next Tuesday) go more smoothly!  Thank you for your help!

With my best,

Fairy Tales Part I

Miss Hall began her unit on Fairy Tales last week!  The kids have been working on sequencing and plot!  I am so impressed with how Miss Hall has connected science with literature with Jack and the Beanstalk AND math and writing with The Princess and the Pea!

Check it out!

They began by reading the book.

Then they planted their own "bean stalks" leading up to the castle!
For their morning job they colored their castle and added the cotton ball clouds!

Next they planted their magic beans!

They are on top of our cubbies, hoping for some sun to grow!

Next, they read The Princess and the Pea and The Poodle and the Pea!

They counted out mattresses to make their own Princess and the Pea math craft!

They are having such a good time!
More to come soon!

Tonight is Niffer's Night!!!

I hope that you can either grab lunch or dinner at Niffer's tonight to help raise money for CWES!  It is so easy, all you have to do is write CWES on your receipt and voila we get 10% of your purchase!!!!

RHYMING FUN and a SPECIAL BIRTHDAY!

This week we've been having lots of rhyming fun!  We've learned new songs (check out one of them in a video below), played lots of games and worked on some fun rhyming homework each day!

Rhyming BINGO

Kourtney WON!

On Wednesday, we celebrated Cayden's birthday!  Happy Birthday Cayden!

On Thursday, we played Rhyming Robots!
First, Miss Hall gave out 1/2 of a robot's body to each child, she called them up and the kids raised their hand if they had the matching part of the robot!

The next time, the kids got new robot parts and found their matching partners ALL BY THEMSELVES!  OH MY WORD, it was like a FIRST GRADE CLASS!!!!

Finally, I put sweet Miss Hall on the spot and to the test by asking her to teach the class an awesome rhyming song!  She did GREAT!  Take a look at our babies rhyming!!!
